ABOUT US

As the largest data science club on campus, the UCLA Statistics Club seeks to foster a strong community of students and faculty interested in statistics, whether you are in STEM or humanities. Every quarter, we host social events, organize technical and career development workshops, and invite guest speakers ranging from faculty and graduate students to alumni working in the industry.

We also help organize the annual ASA DataFest — the largest data hackathon on the West Coast. DataFest is an annual data hackathon sponsored by the American Statistical Association (ASA) and was  founded here at UCLA in 2011. Through this event, we bring teams of students from all over the country to provide the best insights gleaned from a large, complex dataset.
